Buying A Collectible Porcelain Doll Online

 

There are many different varieties of collectible porcelain doll availalble. The price of owning one varies depending on the exact kind of doll that you want; some are as little as $30 while others are $500 or even more.

Some dolls are antique in style and while these are quite beautiful, they are not the same as genuine antiques.  It is important to note the difference; dolls that are antique in style are made by contemporary doll companies  while genuine antiques are 50 - 100 years old, or even older in some cases.

If you are are a collector and are looking for a genuine antique collectible porcelain doll, you would want to check out sites where used items are posted for sale.  Sites such as eBay, Ruby Lane, Tias.com and Etsy.com have quite a selection of genuine antique porcelain dolls and vinyl dolls.  Often the dolls listed here are quite a bit cheaper than they would be at an antiques shop.  When buying such a doll online, you would want to ensure that the seller can provide you with either a certificate of authenticity or some other proof that the doll is a genuine antique.
