Porcelain Bride Dolls, Many Options And Prices

 

Every bride wants to remember not only her special day, but also the entire wedding experience. With photos and scrapbooks, cake cutters and invitations, there are a lot of nice keepsakes available to relive all the planning, showers and festivities. Another special memento for brides is porcelain bride dolls. With so many options and prices available, this can be a very special gift the bride can cherish long after the big day.

Some different options for bridal dolls include custom made dolls of the bride and/or groom that incorporate hand sewn clothes using fabrics to replicate the wedding gown and groom’s attire. Prices vary on these dolls but usually a quote can be given after sending in a picture. A custom doll maker can be found online; make sure that plenty of pictures and representations of the work are available.

Some manufacturers like Ashton Drake and Franklin Mint are known for their porcelain bride dolls, and these can be found on websites or places like eBay. Of course, prices will vary depending on if they are new or used and the condition, but these types of dolls will usually be upwards of two hundred dollars. Even Barbie comes as a beautiful bride.

A bride and groom cake topper is another nice way to present and show off a bridal doll. Some of these are porcelain, some are other materials but still have a nice effect. These will be much more affordable than a custom made doll or a collector bride, but can still be special mementos to the couple. Normally, these will range from the very low end of $10-20 dollars to higher costs if they are more of a collector type, like Precious Moments, Lenox or Madame Alexander.

The nice thing about the small cake toppers is the size. The porcelain ones are nice enough to be kept on display long after the wedding as opposed to the plastic cake toppers. They can even be passed down to younger generations as the “something old” in a wedding.

Not only do porcelain bride dolls make beautiful and special wedding gifts, but they can be something that stays with the bride for a long time, whether she chooses to display it, pass it down, or simply remember her day by it. So many options exist, not only for the bride, but even for the little girl who dreams of being a bride.
